Chet Skwarcan Publishes ITE Journal Case Study on LPR-Derived Traffic Analytics

Traffic Engineering, Inc. President Chet M. Skwarcan, P.E., has authored a case study in the July 2026 issue of ITE Journal on the use of existing law-enforcement LPR infrastructure for transportation engineering analysis.

The article features the Plainfield, Indiana case study and discusses how privacy-preserving LPR-derived observations can support origin-destination analysis, travel-time studies, traffic-volume monitoring, anomaly detection, seasonal trend analysis, and long-range transportation planning.
